Emily was born in London in 1961 and has a joint honours degree in English and Russian from St Andrews University. She worked for several years in film, video and television.  She lived in France for five years.  She is married with three children one of whom has severe autism. She has always drawn and painted. In 2006 she completed an MA in Children's Book Illustration from Anglia Ruskin University.  In January 2009 her first solo show - In The Woods was held at the Highgate Gallery and did extremely well.  Since then she has been invited to show in several group exhibitions and private galleries. She is working on a new series of paintings - London Rivers.
